I would like to recommend a lip balm that I use, and I am on my 4 lip balm already. It also last quite a while. I have your same problem with lip balms however, this one absolutely phenomenal, it keeps your lips extremely hydrated, and does not leave any type of layer or residue and I swear by it. It’s the Hermès lip balm it’s fantastic. My lips have never felt so hydrated without the dry layer you’re talking about and I’ve tried almost every lip balm from luxury to not. Definitely if you want a great lip balm that doesn’t leave that layer cast. Definitely try out the (Hermès lip balm, the clear one.) Not the lip balm tint. If you do try it, please let me know if it works for you the way it did for me 😊
